Other than me, my friend Jay is the only person I know who likes Steve Goldberg’s music. And frankly, it surprised me that Jay does, because he tends to go for more raw, sawdusty, alternative-type music. I asked my sister and two other friends their opinions and they told me: “it makes me feel uncomfortable”, “sounds like kids’ music and rhymes too much” and “is weird, dude”.

I don’t exactly know why I like Steve Goldberg’s music. It’s gooey sweet, sentimental and does rhyme a lot. And he does sound like he might break into “Puff the Magic Dragon” at any moment. But hell, I’m a sucker for anyone who is clever (strange) enough to rhyme “Julia” with “uvula” and isn’t ashamed to admit that his romantic ideal is playing D&D and watching “The Goonies” (on VHS) with his girlfriend. Aw shucks, Steve. You had me at “uvula”.

Hey, thanks. Sorry I made your friend uncomfortable. I will be releasing a new EP very soon though. It has been engineered for maximum comfort.

Hahaha. If this really is you, I love your songs. I blast them while vacuuming and sing my lungs out… I’m very much looking forward to the new EP. Thanks for commenting.
